Rosemary focaccia is a classic Italian bread that is soft, fluffy, and full of flavor. Infused with olive oil and topped with fresh rosemary and flaky sea salt, this bread is perfect as a side dish, sandwich bread, or a delicious snack

  1. Activate Yeast:
  2. In a bowl, combine warm water, honey (or sugar), and yeast.
  3. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  4. Make Dough:
  5. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt.
  6. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  7. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  8. Knead & First Rise:
  9. Knead dough for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
  10. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
  11. Shape & Second Rise:
  12. Punch down the dough and place it on a greased baking sheet or pan.
  13. Flatten into a rectangle or round shape, about ½ inch thick.
  14. Cover and let it rise for 30–45 minutes.
  15. Dimple & Add Toppings:
  16. Use your fingers to press deep dimples into the dough.
  17. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle rosemary and flaky sea salt.
  18. Bake:
  19. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  20. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  21. Cool & Serve:
  22. Let cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
